Lili's Fairies
Scarlet, Primrose, Iris, Nymph, Moss, Rose, Copper and Sky are eight little fairies who all luve together in Thistledown Meadow. The meadow is near Bluebell Hall, a pretty, golden sandstone, victorian manor house whose gardens are full of rhodododendrons and rabbits and whose woods are full of bluebells and deer. Next to Thistledown Meadow is The Lane, which is bumpy and full of chamomile flowers and pebbles in hot July. At the end of The Lane is a big white five bar gate and beyond that, the whole of Fairy Land. The fairies have never been further than The Lane - wll not yet anyway.

Scarlet
Scarlet is the oldest of all the Fairies and is always looking out for them. She's confident, loving, wise and also just a little bit bossy! She has the glossiest brown hair which she brushes every day and is best friends with Primrose. Rose and Sky are her younger sisters.

Primrose
Primrose is very easy going and loves floaty dresses, dancing with elf boys and going to fairy balls with Scarlet. She is sociable, generous and spontaneous. She loves to have fun and believes there is no point in worrying. She isn't very good at spells but doesn't really care as they make her hair messy. She is Nymph and Iris's older sister.

Moss
Moss is Copper's older sister. Kind, bright, brave, with a very pretty smile, she is daring and loves adventure and has been further along The Lane than any other fairy. She's a bit of a tomboy really and can sometimes be a little too honest but she always means well! She thinks that one day she would love to travel to the very edge of Fairyland.

Rose
Rose is never seen without Moss, her best friend. She is loyal and sweet and yearns for adventure but she is also really thoughtful and is always looking out for her little sister Sky and all the animals who live around her. She knows the names of all the rabbits in the garden and her hair is the colour of Magnolia flowers in the sun.

Iris
Iris is the most determined of all the fairies and is always up to mischief, practising fairy charms with twin (but not identical!) sister, Nymph. She is very good at flying, loves being outside in the dark (after bedtime!) and had nearly learnt the spell to make herself disappear!

Nymph
Nymph is a very enquiring little fairy, always looking on the bright side of everything. She's also just a little bit cheeky which sometimes gets her into trouble because she always wants to knoe the answers to everything. She loves teasing older sister Primrose about dancing with elf boys and exploring the bluebell wood with Iris most of all!

Copper
Copper is the younger sister of Moss and really wants to be like her when she grows up! She's a little naive and also a little shy but she loves to play with her best friend Sky. She is very lucky at whatever she tries to do and it makes her laugh - because she doesn't know how she does it sometimes!

Sky
Sky is the youngest of all the fairies and sister of Scarlet and Rose. She is quiet and very talented at magic - but she only practises it when no-one else is watching - except Copper of course. All the other fairies think she's really sweet because she reminds them of when they were younger but she's also very quick thinking and has lots of good ideas.
